SoundGrid Audio Interfaces Drivers Installation

SoundGrid audio interfaces require a driver installation in order to function. Follow these steps to install the SoundGrid I/O driver via Waves Central.

If it isn’t, or you are not sure, consult our Tech Support team.
  1. Download and install the latest version Waves Central for or . If you already have Waves Central installed, skip to step 2.
  2. Launch Waves Central and log into your account.
    Windows: via the desktop shortcut or via Start Menu > All Programs > Waves.
    Mac: Applications > Waves Central.

  3. Log into Waves Central using your Waves account information.
  4. Click the Install Products page. This displays a list of your plugins and their installation status.

    Select the All Products tab to view all Waves software products. This enables you to install unlicensed products to a device.
  5. Select the SoundGrid I/O Driver you wish to install, you can use the search feature at the top of Waves Central to narrow down the list. Review the selections in the Summary section.
  6. Click Install.
  7. Once prompted, click Restart, this is crucial to complete the installation of the driver.
  8. Note that the driver will always appear in Waves Central and in your account as “Not Activated.”
    This is normal since the SoundGrid Driver has no license and is thus not meant to be activated.


    Users on Mac OS 10.13 (High Sierra) and above – follow these steps in addition to the above:

  9. Restart your computer.
  10. Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General
  11. Click Allow within 30 minutes of installing the Waves SoundGrid driver. To show the button again if 30 minutes have passed, restart your computer again.
