How to Solve SoundGrid Driver Control Panel “Version: Not Available” on macOS

Learn what to do if you encounter "Version: Not Available" in the SoundGrid Driver Control Panel on macOS.

If the SoundGrid Driver Control Panel is showing "Version: Not Available", follow these steps to resolve it:

  1. Allow Waves Inc. to Make Changes
    • Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General.
    • At the bottom, if you see that the system blocked software from Waves Inc. click Allow.
  2. Verify Login Items Permission (macOS Ventura and above)
    • Click the Apple Logo and go to System Settings.
    • Navigate to General > Login Items. Navigate to General > Login Items
    • Verify that Waves Inc. is enabled.
      • If it is already on, toggle it off and on again If it is already on, toggle it off and on again
  3. Reinstall the SoundGrid Driver
    • Quit any running Waves applications.
    • Go to Applications > Waves > SoundGrid > Utilities.
    • Run the SoundGrid Driver Uninstaller.
    • Restart your computer.
    • Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy.
    • Go to Full Disk Access.
    • Ensure that Waves Central and any other Waves apps are checked.
    • Launch Waves Central
    • Go to Install Products > All Products
    • Look for ASIO, select the appropriate version and click install.
    • Restart your computer and check if the SoundGrid Driver Control Panel version is properly shown.
