How to Roll Back to Waves V10

If you inadvertently installed a plugin version that cannot run on your operating system or host application and wish to roll back to V10 plugins, follow these instructions.

If you have activated licenses of a newer version, no worries! Licenses of the current plugin version will activate V10 software, as long as the product/s in question exist in V10.

To find out whether a certain plugin exists in V10, visit the V10 Download page and scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Step #1: Uninstall the higher version

Quit any host application.
Launch Waves Central and log in.
On the left-hand side, click the Settings page.
Under Maintenance, click the Uninstall drop-down menu and choose to uninstall the current plugins version.

Step #2 – Install V10 software

Use the dedicated V10 Offline Installer

1. Quit any host application.
2. Download the V10 Offline Installation folder for Mac | Windows.
3. Unzip the folder to your desktop.
4. Navigate to the Waves – 27.10.19 folder which you just extracted and launch the file named “install.cen”.
5. Waves Central will open on the Offline Installer page.
6. Use the search bar to search and select the products you wish to install.
7. Click Install.

1. Quit any host application.
2. Download the V10 Waves Creative Access Offline Installation folder for Mac | Windows.
3. Unzip the folder to your desktop.
4. Navigate to the Central_Offline_v10plugins folder which you just extracted and launch the file named “install.cen”.
5. Waves Central will open on the Offline Installer page.
6. Select All Waves Plugins.
7. Click Install.

Please note If you open Waves Central while your computer is online, it will automatically update to the latest version, which is not compatible with the V10 Offline Installer. To install V10, use the specific Waves Central version mentioned in these instructions and keep it offline.
