How to Load Sync Vx in REAPER

Learn how to load Sync Vx in REAPER in order to align multiple vocal tracks.

Sync Vx is an ARA plugin. ARA stands for Audio Random Access, a protocol developed to improve the integration between audio plugins and DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations). It allows plugins and DAWs to exchange information about audio content and session structure seamlessly.

Sync Vx aligns audio from multiple tracks, so you’ll need to load it on each track you wish to sync.

  1. Open REAPER Preferences:
    • Mac: REAPER menu > Settings
    • Windows: Options menu > Preferences
  2. Under Plug-ins > ARA, make sure that “Enable ARA for plug-ins that support it” is check marked: Under Plug-ins > ARA, make sure that “Enable ARA for plug-ins that support it” is check marked In case it wasn’t check marked, restart REAPER to apply the changes.
  3. Select an audio track you wish to sync using Sync VX.
  4. Open the FX menu and search for Sync Vx – it will appear under the VST3 menu: Open the FX menu and search for Sync Vx – it will appear under the VST3 menu
