How to Install Waves V9.92

To install Waves plugins v9.92 and compatible Waves host applications (SoundGrid Studio, MultiRack, eMotion LV1, StudioRack), you must use a dedicated offline installation folder.

Important Notes:
  • Newly purchased (or demoed) V11 licenses will activate V10 and V9 software, as long as the products in question exist in V10 or V9 versions. To find out whether a certain plugin exists in in software version 9.92, visit the V9.92 Legacy Download page, and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Check which software version is most suitable for your system and DAW.
  • Existing V9 licenses can be found and managed in the Licenses page of Waves Central. Learn how to activate licenses.
  • Products released after May 3, 2018 have not been added to the v9.92 installer. Check our Release Notes for specific release date information.
  • Mac OS users: Waves V9.92 is the last version to support Yosemite 10.10.X.
  • If you have Mac OS 10.9.5 or below, you will need to download and install a different sub version of V9 – V9.6. Detailed instructions can be found here."
  • Sample libraries for Waves instruments must be manually installed.
  1. Quit any host application.
  2. Download the v.9.92 Offline Installation Folder for Windows| Mac
  3. Unzip the folder to your desktop.
  4. If you have the current version of Waves Central:
    1. Launch the Waves Central application on the system where your licenses are activated:
      Windows: via the desktop shortcut or Start Menu > All Programs > Waves Central.
      Mac: Applications > Waves Central.
    2. Log into Waves Central.
    3. Access the Offline Installer page. Under Install from an Offline Installer, click Browse.
    4. Browse to your Desktop > Waves – 24.5.18 and click Open.
    5. Select the products you wish to install from the list.
    6. Click Install.
  5. Logic Pro X users only:
    1. Go to Macintosh HD > Applications > Waves > Waveshells and run the Waves AU Reg Utility V9. If there are more than one Waves AU Reg Utility V9 file in the Waveshells V9 folder, apply these steps to them all.
    2. Click on Let’s Go.
    3. If asked to Locate the Waves Plugins Folder, direct to Macintosh HD > Applications > Waves > Plug-Ins V9.
    4. Launch Logic, go to Logic > Preferences > Plug-ins Manager.
    5. Make sure your Waves plugins are check-marked. If they are not, highlight all Waves listings and click Reset & Rescan Selection.
