How to Install SoundGrid Applications

Follow the steps below to install Waves SoundGrid applications and activate their licenses to your computer in one go, using Waves Central’s “Install Products” page.

Important Notes:
  • Ensure that your system supports the application’s latest version: eMotion LV1 | SuperRack | SoundGrid Studio | StudioRack | QRec
  • Current version licenses will activate older version software (V9 and above), if the product/s in question exists in this software version.
  • All SoundGrid Interface drivers are pre-installed with each SoundGrid application. If a SoundGrid Interface driver update is released, it can also be installed separately via Waves Central’s Update mechanism.
  1. If you already have the Waves Central application installed, skip to step 2.
    If you don’t, download and install Waves Central:

  2. Launch Waves Central.
    Windows: via the desktop shortcut or Start Menu > All Programs > Waves Central.
    Mac: Applications > Waves Central.
  3. Log into Waves Central.
  4. Click the Install Products page. This displays a list of your purchased plugins and their install status.

    • Select the My Products tab to view registered Waves applications and plugins, for which you have a license.
    • Select the All Products tab to view all Waves applications and plugins, even those you have not registered yet or do not have a license (I.e., QRec).
  5. Select the products you wish to install from either list, and review the selections in the Summary section.
  6. Click on the Install button. If you are activating licenses as well, the button will read Install and Activate.

Your products are now ready to use.

By default, a license will be activated to the host computer’s hard drive. You can also activate it to a USB flash drive. Use the Target Device for Licenses panel to select where you want to send the license.
