How to Enable the 80-Channel Configuration in eMotion LV1

Learn how to enable the 80-channel configuration in eMotion LV1 (V16 and above). Follow these steps:

  1. Purchase the eMotion LV1 80-Channel Expansion license from Waves’ website or an authorized dealer.
    • Please note: In order to activate the 80-channel expansion, you will need the v16 version of the eMotion LV1 64-channel installed. The v16 update is available free to LV1 Classic users. The LV1 Classic license will automatically be updated to v16 when you log in to your account in Waves Central on the console.

      Owners of an LV1 64-ch. software license need the Waves Update Plan in order to update to v16.

      Once your LV1 Classic or LV1 64-ch. software license is updated to v16, update the the software by following the steps in the How to Update eMotion LV1 Classic Console or How to Update eMotion LV1 for Mac or Windows support articles.
  2. Activate the eMotion LV1 80-channel expansion license:
    1. Launch Waves Central and log in to your account.
    2. Go to Licenses > Not Activated.
    3. Checkmark your eMotion LV1 80 channel expansion, select your target device, and click Activate.
  3. Launch eMotion LV1.
  4. Go to Mixer Settings > Mixer Configuration and select one of the available 80-channel configurations:
    • 80 Input channels, 16 Groups, 24 Aux, 8 Matrices, Cue.
    • 80 Input channels, 8 Groups, 32 Aux, 8 Matrices, Cue.
