How to Delete a Waves Plugin User Preset

To delete a plugin preset you've created from the Waves preset menu, follow these steps:

PLEASE NOTE: Deleting a user preset is permanent and cannot be undone. Factory presets cannot be deleted.

Option 1: Delete the preset file from the User Preset folder.

Windows: C:\Users\Public\Waves Audio\Plug-In Settings \ *Plug-In name
Mac: System HD > Users > Shared > Waves > Plug-In Settings > *Plug-In name

Option 2:

In V17 and above, open the Preset Menu, loacte the preset you wish to delete, click on the menu icon next to it, then click Delete:

In V16 and below, Hold [cmd] (Mac) or [Ctrl] (Win) while opening the Presets Menu. You will see “Delete” before each user preset name. Select the preset you want to delete. You will be prompted with “Are you sure you want to delete [preset]?”
