Moved to the Dallas area straight out of high school. I figured out that I wanted to be in the music industry about 1990. I took an audio course from a local producer named Phil York (Willie Nelson, Robert Duvall). He got me my first gig doing live audio for a local blues band for $25 a night. But I wanted to be in the studio. So I went to the best place in town at the time (Dallas Sound Lab). I told them I would like to work for them no matter what it took. So they showed me where the coffee make was. After a few years working on just about every kind of recording session and 25,000 cups of coffee, the band Pantera walked through the door to finish their album \u0022Far Beyond Driven\u0022 in October of 1993. I was hired to be the assistant engineer. The band and I really hit it off. When they were done at the studio they asked if I would like to come be the bass guitar technician on that tour. I said yes of course. And here I am 30 plus years later.
