How to Clean Up Noisy Audio in Videos

What do you do when you’ve got the perfect take, but there’s just a little too much ambient background noise in the recording? We show you a simple trick using Waves NS1 to get the best of both worlds.

NS1 is an easy-to-use and versatile noise suppression plugin which is effective in a range of applications including music production, mixing, post production, podcasting and more. The plugin is optimized to work in a variety of DAWs and video editing software, including Adobe Premier Pro which is what we’ve used in this video.

To remove noise with NS1, simply:

Insert the NS1 plugin on the audio track you want to clean
Pull up the slider slowly, until you reach the desired balance between the amount of noise removed and the sonic transparency of the effect
