Meet the New TRACT System Calibration: Measure, Calibrate and Monitor Your PA

TRACT System Calibration GUI

TRACT System Calibration is now a complete system-tuning toolkit, with three plugins working together to help you measure, calibrate and monitor your PA. The package now includes the new TRACT Measure and SPL Meter, alongside the original TRACT System Calibration plugin.

With the new TRACT Measure, you can measure your PA directly inside eMotion LV1, SuperRack Performer or SuperRack SoundGrid—no external measurement software or second computer required. Capture your system’s frequency response and delay, and send the measurement directly to TRACT System Calibration, which creates corrective EQ and time-alignment settings. (The TRACT System Calibration correction plugin also still works perfectly with Smaart®, giving you two alternative ways to feed measurements into the TRACT correction workflow.)

Once your system is tuned, the new SPL Meter lets you keep an eye on sound pressure levels throughout the show, directly from your Waves live host. Together, the three plugins give you a streamlined workflow from initial PA measurement and calibration to ongoing SPL monitoring.

  • 3 plugins for PA measurement, calibration and SPL monitoring
  • Measure & correct your PA directly inside Waves live hosts
  • Runs in LV1 and SuperRack Performer & SoundGrid
  • Auto-correction EQ and system time alignment
  • Time-align mains, fills and delay towers
  • Merge multiple measurements into one correction curve
  • Also works with Smaart® measurement software
  • Monitor SPL with A- and C-weighting
  • Set SPL thresholds and maximum-level warnings
  • Log SPL measurements and export to CSV

An Essential Tool for Live Sound

  • TRACT Measure: Measure Your PA Directly in Your Waves Live Host

Insert TRACT Measure on a mono channel in LV1 or SuperRack, connect your measurement mic, load your mic calibration file, and capture the transfer function and delay in one pink-noise pass, using Auto or Manual mode. Send each capture directly to TRACT System Calibration, and combine multiple mic positions into one correction curve. Current, Last and Delta readouts provide exact offsets for time-aligning front fills and delay towers.

    Features: TRACT Measure
  • TRACT System Calibration: Turn Measurements into a Better-Tuned System

TRACT System Calibration turns measurements from TRACT Measure—or Smaart®—into practical system corrections. Automatically generate corrective EQ, customize the resulting curve, and time-align different parts of the PA. Whether you measure directly with TRACT Measure or use Smaart, your measurements feed into the same TRACT calibration workflow. TRACT System Calibration continues to support measurements from Smaart®, including Spectrograph and phase-alignment analysis capabilities not currently covered by TRACT Measure.

    Features: TRACT System Calibration
  • SPL Meter: Monitor Levels Throughout the Show

Once your system is calibrated, the new SPL Meter helps you monitor sound pressure levels directly from your Waves live host. View current and maximum SPL, choose A- or C-weighting, and set a threshold to warn you when levels get too high. You can also log SPL measurements and export them to CSV for documentation and post-show review.

    Features: SPL Meter
  • Beyond “Sweet Spot” to “Sweet Area”

Unlike room tuning systems that create a single “sweet spot,” TRACT can capture up to 8 response snapshots, and then merge them into a single correction curve that compensates for sound issues over the widest possible area.

    Features: Glue Mixes without “Squashing”
  • Full integration with Smaart

TRACT integrates with Rational Acoustics’ Smaart (Sound Measurement Acoustical Analysis Real Time) software v9 including Suite, RT, LE (purchased separately).

    Features:
  • Correct Room EQ

TRACT helps wayward audio by creating a corrective FIR EQ curve. Choose a minimal-phase curve for lowest latency and low phase distortion, or a linear-phase curve for perfect phase coherence.

    Features: Fast and Efficient Operation
  • Customize the Curve

Supplement the FIR curve with up to 8 bands of IIR EQ filters that offer a variety of shapes—bell, low/high shelves, flat-tops, tilt EQ with variable-frequency pivot point, Butterworth and Linkwitz-Riley curves, and more.

Features: From Vocals to “The Ringo Drum Sound”
  • Sub Zoom for Maximum Low Frequency Impact

To reduce low-frequency muddiness and lack of definition, engage the sub zoom function. This lets you take a closer look at the low frequencies while phase-aligning subs for maximum low-frequency impact.

Features: Multiple Modes Fit Different Material
