Here are a couple of ways you can use the Waves API 550 EQs in order to add presence and warmth to electric guitars and snares. Add a couple clicks on the mid at 1-2k to give your guitar extra presence and help it cut through the mix. One or two clicks at 250 Hz in the low-mids will give your guitar or snare a nice amount of warmth.
