  1. Create a ‘New Software Instrument Track’.

  2. Search for Waves plugin you wish to use in the Instrument plugins list, and open it on the Software Instrument Track. Note that Logic may have placed a different instrument as a default setting.

  3. Open a channel, import or record audio.

  4. Set the output of the audio channel to “No Output” to avoid phasing issues.

  5. Go to the plugin’s top right corner ‘Side Chain’ and select your audio channel.
