Waves Refer a Friend Program - Terms & Conditions

As a Waves Refer a Friend member (a “Referrer”), you are subject to the following Terms & Conditions:

Qualified Referral - A qualified referral is defined as a customer’s (the "Referred Customer") first ever purchase on waves.com. Qualifying products include Waves Creative Access subscriptions, plugins, bundles, applications, hardware, or hardware/software combos. The following products do not qualify for referrals: Upgrades, Waves Update Plan or purchases made via Waves dealers. The Referred Customer must complete the purchase within 7 days of clicking on a Referrer’s link in order for a referral to be issued. Waves is not responsible in the event that a reward is not issued.

Referred Customer - The Referred Customer and the Referrer cannot be the same person. In the event of abuse or misuse, Waves reserves the right to cancel the Referrer’s participation in the Refer a Friend program and/or cancel their Waves account.

Referral Rewards – Following a Qualified Referral purchase by the Referred Customer, referral rewards will be issued to the Referrer’s account, and will be shown on their My Rewards page.

Non-subscription products: The Referrer will earn 10% of the Referred Customer’s total purchase of qualifying non-subscription products in referral rewards.
Subscription products: If the Referred Customer purchases an annual subscription, the Referrer will earn 10% of the Referred Customer’s total purchase (first subscription payment only) in referral rewards. If the Referred Customer purchases a monthly subscription, the Referrer will earn 30% of the Referred Customer’s total purchase (first subscription payment only) in referral rewards.

Rewards Redemption – Referral rewards may be redeemed on Waves.com only. Rewards are redeemable for up to 100% of a purchase.

To redeem your referral rewards in the Waves.com shopping cart, make sure you are logged in to your account to which Rewards were earned, click the “Use My Rewards” checkbox, enter the amount you would like to redeem, and then click “Apply.”

When buying Waves Subscriptions, you may check the “Use My Rewards on Recurring Payments” checkbox to apply your rewards balance to future recurring payments. When this option is selected, any available rewards balance will be redeemed toward your next monthly/annual recurring subscription payment/s, on the scheduled date of your recurring payment, until the available rewards balance has finished. Any amount not covered by your available rewards balance will be charged to your subscription’s payment method.

You may turn on or off this option for future monthly/annual payments for existing subscriptions in your account’s My Products page.

As a Referrer, you are responsible for any and all tax liability resulting from referral rewards. Referral rewards, as well as Waves products purchased with referral rewards, cannot be sold, transferred to others, redeemed for cash or applied to any other account. Waves is not responsible for the inability to redeem rewards. We do not offer returns, rebates, or any other value in the event of technical malfunctions. Non-compliance with the terms of “Rewards Redemption” will be considered abuse of the program (see “Abuse”).

Returns/Refunds - When a Referred Customer returns their order, any rewards provided to the Referrer will be removed from the Referrer’s account. When a Referrer returns an order that they purchased with Referral Rewards, the amount they used will be returned to their rewards balance.

Eligibility - The Referrer must be an existing Waves customer to participate in this program. Participation is limited to individuals only. The Waves Refer a Friend program may not be used by businesses for affiliate or other lead generation purposes. It is the responsibility of Referrers to disclose that they are being rewarded for their efforts.

No Spam - You must comply with all up to date “SPAM” laws. For example, emails must be created and distributed in a personal manner and bulk email distribution is strongly discouraged. Any distribution of your referral link that could constitute unsolicited commercial email or "spam" under any applicable law or regulation is expressly prohibited and will be grounds for immediate termination of your account and exclusion from Waves Refer a Friend program.

Abuse - Waves reserves the right to close the account(s) of any Referrer and/or Referred Customer and/or request proper payment if the Referrer and/or Referred Customer attempt to use the Waves Refer a Friend program in a questionable or abusive manner, breaches any of these Terms & Conditions, or is in violation of any law, statute or governmental regulation.

Right to Cancel Program or Change Terms - Waves reserves the right to cancel the Refer a Friend program or to change these Terms & Conditions at any time.
